Goodbye Samoa

Even though my time in Samoa seemed short, I was able to experience things that most travellers could not have.  This was all because of Taula my taxi/guide for the duration of my time on Samoa.  He was deeply committed to his family, his church and the Polynesian Culture.  He moved into a relatives house in Apia so his daughters could get the best education.  Yes, my last blog is Goodbye Samoa - but it is also Goodbye Taula.  When I said he was a true Samoan - that he was.

I thought I would end my Samoan blog with some photos that didn't make it into my blogs - but certainly representative of my time on this South Pacific Island. The beaches are beautiful but the real beauty is in the smiles of the Polynesian people.  They are happy and content with their lives and culture.  There is a lot to be learned from these people living a much simpler life on a remote South Pacific Island.
