Many Glacier

Many Glacier

is one of the most spectacularly scenic and remote areas of Glacier National Park. The incredible views, turquoise lakes, ample wildlife viewing opportunities, and unbeatable hiking trails make Many Glacier a popular destination for many visitors to Glacier.

Glacier Park Lodge was originally constructed in 1913. Today it serves as the hub for accommodations, hiking trails and boat shuttles to Lake Josephine. The view from the lodge is one of the parks most iconic views.

The one glacier that is still active and accessible by a hike is the Grinnell Glacier. This glacier is positioned on the north side of Mount Gould at an altitude of 7,000 feet (2,100 m).
