Perito Moreno Glacier

Imagine coming around the curve in the road to witness this totally magnificent view. The size and power of this moving mass of ice is incredible. The Perito Moreno Glacier is located in Los Glaciares National Park, Argentina. It is 30 kms (18.5 miles) long and is part of South Americas Southern Ice Field - the third largest ice mass in the world, behind Antartica and Greenland. The face of the glacier is 5kms (3miles) wide and rises up to 74meters (240ft) from the surface of Lake Argentina.
