On April 12th, 1975

Kathleen May Gardiner married Lance Patrick Barrs in a quaint Episcopal church in a small rural town in Iowa - Anamosa. That was 50 years ago so this day represents our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We feel so fortunate that over these years we have had so many wonderful adventures together.

A Magical Place for our 50th Wedding Anniversary

Le Mirage

resort is located in Southern Namibia, very close to the dunes of Sossusvlei. These dunes are some of the most spectacular and beautiful dunes in all of Namibia. There, in this incredible setting, an imposing sight - an African Castle in the middle of the desert. Could there be any more intriguing a location for our 50th Wedding Aniversary - I don’t think so.
